Kindergarten registration for Arlington Public Schools opens March 4
Kindergarten registration for families in Arlington Public Schools opens Thursday, March 4 for the 2021-22 school year. New Arlington families may go to the district website at www.wednet.edu and select “New Student Registration.” Existing Arlington families can register their kindergartner in Family Access.

To be eligible for next year’s kindergarten program, a child must be at least five years old by Aug. 31, 2021. The following documents are required to register your child for kindergarten:
• Immunization records. The following are the new types of immunization documentation that can be accepted:
o A Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) printed from the Immunization Information System (IIS);
o A physical copy of the CIS form with a healthcare provider’s signature;
o A physical copy of the CIS form with accompanying medical immunization records from a healthcare provider verified and signed by school staff; or
o A CIS printed from MyIR
• Proof of residency (power bill or the first page of a lease or purchase and sale agreement will meet the criteria of proof of residency)
• Your child’s birth certificate or other official forms of documentation
The deadline to apply for early entrance to kindergarten is Tuesday, May 1. The early entrance application form is available here.

Meal service for the week of March 8-12
Meal service for the school week of March 8-12 will take place on Friday, March 5 at all Arlington Public School buildings.
• Arlington High School (Pick up on Friday 9:30 am - 11:30 am)
• Weston High School (Pick up on Friday 9:00 am - 10:30 am)
• Haller Middle School (Pick up on Friday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm)
• Post Middle School (Pick up on Friday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm)
• Eagle Creek Elementary (Pickup on Friday 9:00 am - 11:00 am)
• Kent Prairie Elementary (Pick up on Friday 9:30 am - 11:30 am)
• Pioneer Elementary (Pick up on Friday 9:00 am - 11:00 am)
• Presidents Elementary Morning Pick up (Pick up on Friday 9:30 am - 11:30 am)
• Presidents Elementary Evening Pickup (Pick up on Friday 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm)
Children/parents/guardians can pick up several days of meals at one time
for the children in their families. “Meals ‘til Monday” bags provided
by the Arlington Community Food Bank will be distributed as well as
available.
Meal Order Request Form
Meal ordering helps us prepare an adequate number of meals.
• Order meals for your student(s) weekly using the on-line order form each week
• Students participating in hybrid instruction (face to face
instruction two days a week) are eligible for up to three days of meals
per week for pickup. Students participating in remote instruction are
eligible to receive up to five days of meals per week for pickup. Please
mark the number of days of meals your student is eligible to receive.
• Order for the next full week of school by 3 pm each Monday
• Indicate the student’s name and student number (available on Family Access) for whom you are ordering
• Indicate where you want to pick up the meals ordered
• Go to the school chosen for pick-up on the last school day of the week.
No Cost meals through 2020-21 school year
Meals are provided to all children at no charge for the entire 2020-21 school year.
Free and Reduced Price Meals Application
Families whose income situation may have changed are encouraged to apply for Free and Reduced Price Meals.
While this may not apply to meals this year, there are other benefits
for families who qualify, such as free internet connectivity or free
insurance for their student’s Chromebook computer.
