Dr. Angie Kyle and Kyle Strand have been chosen for leadership positions in Arlington Public Schools. Kyle is the new Assistant Principal at Eagle Creek Elementary and Strand is the new Assistant Principal at Presidents Elementary.

Kyle started her career at Eagle Creek teaching fifth grade and has taught science at Post Middle School. Kyle graduated from Arlington High School and has her bachelor’s in education from Western Washington University, master’s in education from Antioch University, and doctorate in education from Northeastern University.

Strand was the Dean of Students at Cavelero Mid High School in the Lake Stevens School District since 2023. He also served as a special education teacher and para educator in Lake Stevens. He has a bachelor’s from Washington State University and a master’s in teaching, special education from Liberty University.

“I am very pleased to welcome both Angie and Kyle to their new roles in Arlington Public Schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Chrys Sweeting. “They bring a wealth of experience to their respective positions and have a focus on student achievement and success.”

Kyle replaces former Eagle Creek Assistant Principal, Angie Hansen, who retired this year. Strand replaces former Presidents Assistant Principal, Shareene Mossburg, who accepted a job as an assistant principal in the Snohomish School District.

Kyle and Strand’s positions were approved by the Arlington School Board during the July 14 regular meeting.
