Dr. Chrys Sweeting
Increasing student learning and achievement for EACH student is my passionate calling. I earned by Bachelor's Degree from Central Washington University and a Master's and Doctorate in Leadership for Learning from the University of Washington.
My service in public education stretches over 30 years and has been in a variety of positions, including teacher assistant, teacher, curriculum specialist, assistant principal, principal, special services executive director, assistant superintendent, and currently as the proud superintendent for Arlington Public Schools.
Engaging all stakeholders is paramount in supporting student success. My commitment is to foster and nurture an authentic partnership between our schools, homes, and the Arlington community.
I've been married to my husband, Dave, a retired special education teacher, for 42 years. We both grew up on the pacific northwest. Together, we raised six children - five sons and one daughter. We also love our seven grandchildren.
Ms. Kathleen Ehman
Kathy Ehman, M.Ed.has served as a teacher, principal, program director and assistant superintendent during her 37-year career in education. She has worked in four different states over her tenure but calls Washington her home. She earned her bachelor's degree from Central Washington University, her master's degree from Seattle University, her principal certification from California State Northridge and her superintendent certification from Western Washington University. She is excited to continue her work in serving students, staff and families in Arlington Public Schools.
Kathy is returning to her Skagit Valley home with her family.
