Eight outstanding middle and high school students from the Arlington, Darrington and Lakewood School Districts were recognized April 24 by the Rotary Club of Arlington for making a difference in their respective schools. The Rotarians wanted to recognize students who stand out in different ways in their schools. The Rotary Club also donated $100 to an organization or charity of the student’s choice.
Post Middle School’s Aleah Burnett participates in leadership class, has been an outstanding leader, and makes an effort to interact with all students in a positive and kind way. “She is the kind of student that makes Post a better place,” said Post Student Leadership and Character Teacher Chelsea Hussey. Aleah’s $100 contribution is being made to Rock Creek Church.
