Haller athletes gather presents for families
Haller PresentsMembers of Haller Middle School’s volleyball teams gathered gifts this holiday season to help families in need. For the past 13 years, Haller’s volleyball teams have adopted families for the holidays and provided them with gifts. This year, they adopted a single father and his son and a single mother with three children.

“This time of year can be really hard on some families,” said Kim Anderson, Haller PE Health and Fitness Teacher. “We emphasize the importance of giving to those in need and the impact that it can have.”

The student athletes collected presents for the families as well as living essentials and grocery gift cards.

“I’ve been doing this for the past two years and it makes you feel really good to help those in need,” said eighth grader Payten Bisson.

“The Arlington community is always very giving and it’s very heartwarming to give back,” said seventh grader Finley Walker.

The school works with the Snohomish County Giving Tree group to identify families in need in Arlington and Marysville. The gifts will be delivered to the families on Dec. 13.
