Arlington fourth and fifth graders to return to campus on Feb. 16
Temperature ChecksArlington fourth and fifth graders will return to school in a hybrid model starting on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Preschoolers through third graders are currently attending school on campus in a hybrid model. The Arlington School Board made the decision to bring additional students back to campus during a special board meeting last night.

“We are excited to welcome more students back to campus,” said Dr. Chrys Sweeting, Arlington Public Schools Superintendent. “I’ve heard from families and staff who are very excited to have students back in our schools. We do have distance learning options for families that would prefer to have their children learning at home for the rest of the school year.”

Arlington Public Schools works closely with the Snohomish Health District to ensure safety protocols are in place to keep students and staff safe.

“The COVID-19 cases have been decreasing over the past several weeks in Snohomish County and the board felt it was the right time to bring additional students back to school,” said Dr. Sweeting. “This aligns with the current guidance from the Department of Health for K-12 in-person learning.”

At its meeting on Feb. 9, the board will continue to discuss the best time to bring middle and high school students back to campus in a hybrid model.
