Welcome to the Library at
Eagle Creek!
|
|
My name is Jacqueline Arnold and I am the half-time Librarian at Eagle Creek! This is my 5th Year at Eagle Creek. I really enjoy being the librarian at Eagle Creek because I love working with kids and I love reading and enjoy the books. It give me great satisfaction to find a book that excites a struggling or reluctant reader and gets them "hooked" on reading.
For the other half of my job (mornings), I am the Title 1 Coordinator for Eagle Creek. I work with students from Kindergarten through fifth grade to support them in reading and math.
I love having volunteers help in our library! Please let me know if you would like to be of service in our library. Training is very short and there are a variety of different jobs that you can do!
We hold a Scholastic Book Fair in our library every Fall and Spring. We encourage families to visit our Book Fair to find excellent books at great prices. You get books your children are excited about and we get to raise money to buy more books for our library...it's a win-win for everyone.
Thanks for visiting our Library website.

Students are able to quiz on over 140,000 books thanks to Accelerated Reader Enterprise. This is a web-based quiz site. I am currently busy putting the color dots and quiz information on every book in the library which has a quiz. This will take most of the school year. Another parent volunteer opportunity! :) |
