Did you know... - Kindergarten 2012-2013 registration is now open. Kindergarten registration includes Full Time Kindergarten option. All Kindergarteners need a birth certificate, proof of address and immunizations. Kindergarten registration starts at 8:00 am on March 26 and ends at 4:00 M-F. Tuesday - Friday it is open at 8:30-4:00.
- Here is a great link to download applications for low-cost/free Healthy Kids/Health insurance. Applications are available in other languages too. Check out the information on food stamps, and other resources, etc. Information from our Arlington Public Schools Health services is available here.
- The new web address for Accelerated Reading and Accelerated Math Home Connect is here.
- Box Tops for Education contest has ended. The results are the highest ever! $2700! Now students will be collecting Labels for Education (including Campbells products, etc). The contest runs during the month of May. Turn labels in to the classroom and the winner in each pod receives a pizza lunch.
- The Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians has granted the Kent Prairie Library $5000 to start an upgrade. The collection ranges from 14 years average age to 19 years! The grant from the Tribe will provide a great start in updating the library! A huge THANK YOU to the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians for their continued support of education in Arlington!
- Washington State law requires that all children attending 6th grade must show proof of a booster for:
· TDaP ~ (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis) vaccine, if eleven years old and it has been five years since they received a tetanus-containing vaccine.
· Varicella ~ (Chickenpox) vaccine or approximate date of illness or results from a blood test that shows immunity.
A doctor counsel (signature) is required to file an Exemption Form for vaccinations.
***All immunizations must be current and in compliance for your student to attend school***

- Pictures of Star Coyotes for February are now posted. Star Coyotes are students who are honored each month for the monthly focus character traits.
- Every Friday is "School Spirit" Day. Wear your KP apparel or school colors with pride!
- Send a positive comment to a staff member. You can use the "KP Coyote Howl" cards available in the office, on a bulletin board in the hall or download a copy. Drop them off in the office or deliver them in person.
