Please take advantage of the volunteer opportunities at Pioneer Elementary. You will find a variety of needs, from recess help, working with students, to clerical. Our newsletter will have opportunities for you to view, and your child's teacher may have other ideas to share. Volunteers truly add to educational offerings, and we appreciate your support! |

Currently, I am enjoying my ninth year as principal of Pioneer Elementary. Previously, I worked as an elementary assistant principal here in Arlington and taught fourth graders in Port Angeles and sixth graders in Edmonds. I truly enjoy the dynamic environment of education and the collaboration with staff, students, parents, and community members.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time boating, working in the yard with my wife, Michelle, and hiking with our golden retrievers. I've always enjoyed anything the outdoors can throw at me, and find the Pacific Northwest the perfect place to explore. My wife and I also enjoy old homes as we continue this venture into "history". We are currently working on our second 85 year-old home, and have enjoyed each new surprise that the home has to offer. |
