Keep children home if they are sick:
- A fever (100F+) and/or
- Vomiting or diarrhea, and/or
- Sore throat or new cough and fever, and/or
- Sore throat, new cough and fever, and/or
- Sore throat, new cough and no fever
- Red or pink eyes
- Abdominal cramping/pain
- Increase in symptoms of asthma that don't resolve with rest or medication
- Possible fractures or sprains requireing medical attention
- Bee Sting with or without swelling
- A new unexplained rash, requiring medical attention
- Other conditions as recommended by Health Room Nurse
Teach your children and role model proper handwashing technique!
Keep children with fever home until at least 24 hrs after fever is gone (without use of fever reducing medicine) (normal body temperature of 98.6 )
Keep children with symptoms other than fever home for at least 24 hrs after symptoms are gone
Have a plan in case your child has to be sent home from school due to illness - including updated emergency contacts
Follow vaccination and other guidelines from health and safety officials
