Here are some important things to keep in mind when thinking about snacks for the class:
How much to send:
We now have 22 students who will be eating snack daily.
What to send:
Anything low in sugar, easy to serve, and easy for the kids to eat makes a good school snack (e.g. string cheese, crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars, fruits and vegetables that are already cleaned and portioned).
Allergies:
We have kindergartners this year with severe peanut allergies. Please avoid sending in foods that contain any traces of peanuts.
Birthday Treats:
I have tried to place students on the snack calendar close to their birthdays. If you would like to send a special treat for your child's birthday, his/her snack day is the time to do it.
*If it is a hardship for your family to send a snack for the class, please let me know as soon as possible, and I will remove your child's name from our snack rotation.
