Health & Safety

Immunization: Students entering Arlington Public Schools must have all health Immunizations complete according to Washington State laws prior to registering.

Free and Reduced Lunch: Program & Forms (English & Spanish)

Safety: SafeSchools Lifeline is a system for students and parents to report safety concerns anonymously via a toll free telephone number.

Emergency: The safety of our students is important to us.  We ask our families to check SchoolReport.org for up-to-date emergency closure due to inclement weather and flooding. Please also check out our limited bus route changes.

Special Services

Special Education: Support services are provided to children in our district from birth through age 21 who qualify.

If you are a parent of a special education student, you may want to participate in the Special Education Parent Group.

Preschool Programs:

  • Children who are exhibiting delays in their development, can be evaluated for the early childhood (birth to three) program.
  • Our Preschool for developmentally delayed children is located at Presidents Elementary
  • Our APPLE/ECEAP Preschool is available for limited income families and is located at Eagle Creek Elementary

Title 1/Learning Assistance Program (LAP): Program to improve the educational opportunities of students who are academically at-risk. Click here for detailed information on Title I.

Highly Capable Program:  Program for highly capable students in grades 2 through 8 who are eligible.

Supplemental Education Services (SES): This program serves students from low-income families who attend a Title I school (Presidents Elementary).

Paying Fees: Pay Online for meals, planners, general & course fees, yearbooks, etc.

Student Progress: Use Family Access to check grades and test scores. Contact your student's school for information on how to login.

OSPI: Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction for Washington State is an excellent resource for researching information.

Registration: Follow the process & get the forms you need here.  Variance transfer forms can be sent to Sheila Shoemaker at the district office.  Intradistrict forms should be sent to the school building.

Home-Based Instruction: Families who choose to home school their children still register with their local school district by completing these forms. Home-based instruction forms can be sent to Jenny Egger at the district office.

Participate

Parents are an integral part of educating our students.  Supporting your child at school as well as at home provides a foundation for their success.  We encourage parents to find ways to participate in the school community by getting involved.
